At CrossFit Barrie we strive to facilitate our members continuous personal development.

Our WHY is all about helping our community live a healthy life. Transforming a few lives at a time through exercise, education, and inspiration. We want to get our community re-engaged in their own health and happiness, starting to teach people how to get back in touch with their bodies and bet on themselves.

We build our business around improving the quality of life for our members. This means we will ALWAYS work to better ourselves, our business, constantly learning, growing, and motivating our team to be better so we can show up our best for everyone we serve.

We do our best to be our BEST and surround ourselves with others that are like-minded. We want the people that are not satisfied with “good enough” but always looking for the next 1% edge.

A member of our team is someone who is:

Humble. Accepts feedback well, low maintenance, not interested in self promotion, vulnerable, admits and takes ownership of mistakes and weaknesses, welcomes feedback, emphasizes team goals over their own.

Hungry. Enjoys work, professional, constantly learning, sense of personal responsibility for the overall success of the team, self-motivated.

Emotionally Intelligent. Empathy, common sense about people, aware of the impact of their words and actions, interested in members and team mates lives outside of the gym, approachable, positive, tactful.

We need to continue to surround ourselves with the best to be our best and that means asking and accepting nothing but the best. We understand this is a lot to ask, in fact, this is not most people and this is more than most gyms ask for, but we are not most gyms. However, if this sounds like you, resonates with you, and reading this gets you excited about life then we want to hear from you.

Since this is an administrative position, it is imperative that you not only have a stellar personality but that you can follow direction with very little follow-up required.

So, here is your first test. Send an email to with the subject line: I want to be part of your team. In the email body answer the following questions.
1. Who are you?
2. What does a typical day look like for you?
3. What kind of activities fulfill your life?
4. What is your favourite pass time?

Please do not send me your resume. Any resume attached to the email will automatically be archived. Remember this is a test to see who reads items fully and can follow direction. We will touch on details of previous employment should you get passed this step.

We look forward to finding out more about who you are and what fuels your fire.
